Global Esports fans saw weeks of speculation come to a resolution when CEO Rushindra Sinha confirmed that Hector “FrosT” Rosario has been removed as head coach. In a recent interview, Sinha stated that the organization has submitted the official paperwork to Riot and is awaiting processing before releasing a formal announcement. He added that FrosT had “different plans” that would become clear to the public shortly.

The news ended weeks of rumors that had circulated across social media, many of which alleged internal conflict. One prominent claim suggested that players and coaching staff pushed FrosT out rather than the management. Another rumor stated that after Global Esports’ loss to XLG at Masters London—a match many expected GE to win—FrosT shouted at the players and harshly criticized teammate PatMen. Following that incident, speculation held that PatMen no longer wanted FrosT on the roster. Sinha did not provide detailed reasons for the departure beyond FrosT’s future plans.

With FrosT’s exit confirmed, Daniel “Platoon” Zhou will take over as Global Esports’ head coach for the upcoming Esports World Cup and VCT Pacific Stage 2. The organization is now waiting on Riot to process the paperwork before making the change official. Sinha addressed the controversy in a YouTube video, saying: “First and foremost, the rumor about FrosT being let go is true. FrosT will no longer be the head coach of GE. We have submitted our papers to Riot, and we are waiting to hear back from them. The paperwork is still in process, so you will see an official announcement soon. But since everyone is talking about it all over Twitter, I will address it and say yes, that is true.”
