GrannyGamingz’s Valorant Stream: A Headstone Fund

A grandmother known as GrannyGamingz has returned to streaming Valorant with a deeply personal mission: raising money for a headstone for her daughter Brooke, who died in 2023. Her channel, which she started at Brooke’s encouragement in 2022–2023, has grown to more than 3,000 subscribers and over 240 videos, most of them multi-hour Valorant streams. Recent titles often focus on her goal of climbing from Gold to Platinum, framing the fundraiser within everyday gameplay.

A Mother’s Grief and a Daughter’s Legacy

Brooke was born in 1998 and faced serious health challenges throughout her life. She received a second kidney transplant in October 2022, but complications followed. Later, she developed lymphoma and died in July 2023. In a YouTube community post, GrannyGamingz wrote, “In 2023 she was taken by hospital negligence. I have never felt grief so deeply or hurt so bad.” She alleges that the hospital treating Brooke missed the cancer and that delays made it untreatable. These claims have not been independently verified.

Streaming with Purpose

After Brooke’s death, GrannyGamingz said she never thought she would play Valorant again without her “gaming buddy.” But in November 2025, she resumed streaming specifically to fund a headstone. “Anything I have made on Twitch is in a savings account, not touched,” she wrote. The streamer is also seeking legal assistance before July 2026 and asks the community to share Brooke’s story, believing her daughter’s life “meant something.” Her channel remains a place where viewers can support both a gameplay journey and a family’s healing.
