Keeper’s Shrines: Locations – Black Myth Wukong

If you’ve played a soulslike before, you’ll recognize Keeper’s Shrines in Black Myth: Wukong. These monuments serve as checkpoints, rest points, respawn anchors, fast travel hubs, and crafting stations all in one. Interacting with a shrine using X (or E on keyboard) opens a menu of actions: Rest restores your health and mana while respawning all non-unique enemies; Travel lets you fast-travel to any previously discovered shrine, organized by chapter; and Self-Advance lets you level up, choose spells, respec skills, and upgrade spirits. Other options include crafting weapons and armor, brewing gourd consumables, buying and selling items with Will, making medicines, and retrieving lost Yaoguai spirits.

Unlike many soulslikes, you can level up and assign skills directly from the pause menu without needing to rest at a shrine. However, for all other services—travel, crafting, brewing, and storage—you must find and interact with a Keeper’s Shrine. The Travel menu is especially useful for checking which areas you have fully explored, as it lists every shrine you’ve discovered per chapter.

Every Keeper’s Shrine Location by Chapter

The guide organizes shrines across all six chapters of Black Myth: Wukong. We are actively documenting each location—Chapter 1 through Chapter 6—and will populate the list as we discover more shrines. In the meantime, you can use the in-game Travel menu to see which shrines you have unlocked in each region, helping you identify unexplored zones. For a fuller picture, cross-reference your progress with our boss guides for Chapters 1 and 2 to ensure you haven’t missed any content tied to those areas.
