The earliest and most reliable tell is the appearance of silver or gray lines directly behind the player’s position indicator. These metallic streaks flash almost immediately, confirming you’ve landed an 86+ rated card before anything else unfolds.

Flag Movement: Single vs Double Walkouts

The club flags that appear during the animation provide your secondary confirmation. For a single walkout, these flags wave aggressively in an animated wind. For a double walkout—two premium players in one pack—the flags remain mostly still with minimal movement. This counterintuitive behavior is deliberate, so don’t expect more dramatic animations for two high-rated cards. No special flag animation means you’re looking at a regular card, not a walkout.

The Reveal Sequence in FC 26

FC 26 replaces the old long tunnel with rapid jump cuts that cycle through specific elements in order: the player’s position, their country flag, league, club badge, and then a rating buildup to the final number. You’ll see a brief tunnel glimpse for about half a second at the very start of the animation, which serves as an immediate walkout confirmation. The entire sequence runs roughly 10–15 seconds, giving you plenty of time to react.
