Microsoft Confirms January 2026 Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 Lineup with Star Wars Outlaws and Resident Evil Village

The Xbox Game Pass library is starting 2026 with an eclectic and generous first wave. Microsoft has officially detailed 11 titles that will roll out to subscribers between January 6 and January 20, blending franchise heavyweights, day-one launches, and indie gems across cloud, console, handheld, and PC. This first announcement of the year signals a strong commitment to variety, giving players a mix of open-world adventure, survival horror, nostalgic remasters, and family-friendly quests.

On January 6, the service added two immediate experiences. Brews & Bastards, a twin-stick shooter, is now available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. It combines fast-paced combat with a tavern-tinged sense of humor, inviting players to blast through hordes of enemies in procedurally generated dungeons. Alongside it, Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition returns with improved visuals and performance, accessible on Cloud, Handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. This enhanced version of Tarsier Studios’ atmospheric puzzle-platformer lets subscribers relive Six’s journey through The Maw with sharper textures and steadier frame rates. Both games are playable through Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass.

The following day, January 7, brings a particularly dense drop of four titles. Rebellion’s Atomfall leaps onto Game Pass Premium across Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC. Set in an alternate post-nuclear northern England, this survival-action title emphasizes scavenging, crafting, and tense encounters in a green yet hauntingly dangerous landscape.
